Emily Leonard and
Ben Mears won two events each for Saint Louis in the Billikens' dual meet vs. Washington University Friday night.
WashU won the women's meet 129.50-113.50 and the men's meet 128.50-105.50.
Leonard led the women's team with victories in the 500 free (5:08.48) and 1000 free (10:31.31). She also anchored the winning 200 free relay team (1:39.23) that also included
Elena Escalante,
Carly McKeon and
Karis Reynaga.
Mears captured first place in 1-meter (251.80) and 3-meter (218.70) diving.
Also winning for the SLU women were Escalante in the 100 free (tie, 54.20),
Elizabeth Voss in 3-meter diving (229.30), and the 200 medley relay team of
Meghan Eng,
Kenna Cashman,
MaryBeth Clark and Escalante (1:48.37).
For the Billiken men, Mears was joined on the winner's stand by
Colton Mosley in the 50 free (21.54),
Franklin Liu in the 1000 free (9:52.44), and the 200 free relay squad of Mosley,
Ethan Hoak,
Logan Townsend and
Ethan Highley (1:26.24).
Up next for the Billikens is a triple dual meet vs. Bellarmine, Eastern Illinois and Valparaiso Saturday, Oct. 28, in Louisville, Ky.
