LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The Saint Louis women's swimming and diving team won nine of 11 events and defeated Bellarmine 140-62 in a dual meet Saturday afternoon.
Bellarmine won the men's meet 120-85.
Meghan Eng and
Karis Reynaga led the women's team with two victories apiece. Eng won the 1000 free (10:54.54) and 200 back (2:08.32), while Reynaga touched first in the 200 free (1:56.44) and 500 free (5:12.32).
Meggie McPherson and
Elena Escalante won individual events and were members of victorious relay teams. McPherson placed first in the 50 free (25.24) and joined
Kenna Cashman,
Lauren Mendlick and
Emily Leonard to win the 400 medley relay (4:00.48). Escalante won the 100 free (54.13) and anchored the winning 200 free relay team (1:39.97) that also included
Amelia Carlson,
Carly McKeon and
Madi Baylor.
Ella Bolling also collected a victory, touching first in the 200 fly (2:10.97).
The Billiken men captured three wins.
Daniel Jekov won the 200 back (1:56.33),
Franklin Liu claimed the 500 free (4:45.88), and the quartet of
Colton Mosley,
Jack Redden,
Ethan Highley and
Wyatt Johnson won the 200 free relay (1:25.94).
