St. Louis, Mo. -
Saint Louis University women's tennis dropped a 4-3 home match in non-conference play against SMS. The Billikens fall to 6-4 while the Bears collect their first win of the season improving to 1-5.
Saint Louis lost the doubles point after dropping at both No. 1 and No. 2 doubles and forfeiting at the No. 3 position. The Billikens fought back during singles competition winning three matches, not enough to claim the win.
"To the players' credit, they continue to fight hard," said head coach Jonathan Zych. "With two of our team members out right now with injuries, there is just no margin for errors."
The squad travels to Memphis, Tenn., Feb. 25-27 to begin Conference USA play against UAB, Memphis and DePaul.
