Billikens Fall in Overtime at St. Bonaventure

OLEAN, N.Y. - Saint Louis dropped a 1-0 overtime decision at St. Bonaventure Sunday in Atlantic 10 Conference men's soccer action at McGraw-Jennings Field.

The Billikens move to 3-4-2 overall and 1-1-0 in A-10 play. They continue their six-game road swing next weekend with A-10 matches at Richmond and George Washington. St. Bonaventure improves to 6-5-0 (1-1-0 A-10).

SBU's Nicholas Perillo netted the game winner in overtime after the two squad played scoreless soccer in regulation. At 97:35, Perillo collected a loose ball at the top of the box and fired past SLU keeper Nick Shackelford into the right corner for the game winner.

Sophomore Benny Estes led Saint Louis with three shots on goal, but the Billikens were unable to get one past St. Bonaventure keeper David Flynn, who made five saves for the shutout. Shackelford made six saves for the Bills.

SLU faces Richmond Friday, Oct. 15, at 6 p.m. (CT), then heads to Washington, D.C. to take on George Washington Sunday, Oct. 17, at noon (CT).
