SLU Goals – Kristo (Graydon), 51:54
Kristo's goal, his 10th of the season, came at 51:54. Senior forward Kingsley Bryce drew a foul just outside the box. From an angle, junior midfielder David Graydon curled the free kick into the area, and Kristo emerged through traffic to head it home for the game winner. For Graydon, it was his team-high-tying sixth assist of the season.
SLU had several opportunities to score in the first half, but Duquesne kept the game scoreless thanks in part to a pair of shots cleared off the line by Duke defenders.
In all, the Billikens outshot Duquesne 14-4 and held a 6-4 advantage in corner kicks.
SLU keeper Sascha Otte made one saves for his eighth shutout of the season.
The Billikens return to action this Sunday when they host UMass (1-10-1, 0-2-1) in a 2 p.m. kickoff at Hermann Stadium.
