MEMPHIS – The 15th-ranked Saint Louis men's soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision at Memphis Saturday night in a nonconference match at Mike Rose Soccer Complex.
SLU, which hosts No. 2 Louisville (1-0-1) Tuesday night at Hermann Stadium, drops to 2-1 overall. Memphis improves to 2-1.

Memphis scored three of its goals in the first half. Hector Cantele opened the scoring with a tally in the 12th minute. A Billiken own goal made it 2-0 Memphis in the 19th minute of play. A Memphis goal in the 30th minute by Danny Lane gave the Tigers a 3-0 advantage, a lead they would take into halftime. Giovanni Alvarado added a score late in the match for the 4-0 final.
SLU had not lost a game by more than one goal since early in the 2011 season.Â
Tuesday's opponent, Louisville, opened its season last weekend with a 1-0 win against No. 2 Maryland. The Cardinals played Cornell to a scoreless draw in their last outing Sept. 5. Game time on Tuesday night is scheduled for 7 p.m.
