The Basics

Saint Louis scored a pair of early goals, but Akron scored three unanswered tallies and defeated the Billikens 3-2 Friday night in Akron, Ohio.

Saint Louis received goals from freshman Anthony Brown and senior Filip Pavisic to take a 2-0 lead just seven minutes into the contest. Akron got on the scoreboard late in the first half, then scored twice in a second half as the teams played through a heavy rain. It was the first loss of the season for the Billikens, who fall to 2-1. Akron, which notched its third straight win against a ranked opponent, improves to 4-1.
