THE BASICS
Saint Louis posted a 5-2 exhibition win over St. Louis Community College Monday night at Hermann Stadium.

It was the second of three exhibition matches for the Billikens, who open their regular season Aug. 25.

SLU went up 2-0 seven minutes into the contest on goals by Anthony Brown and Leo Novaes. STL CC got on the board with a PK before halftime as the teams went into the break with SLU leading 2-1.

In the second half, Desmond Dolphy finished a pretty feed from Patrick Sarr to put SLU up 3-1. However, the Archers responded the next minute making it 3-2.

Spencer Jones gave the Billikens some cushion later in the second half, as he scored a pair of insurance tallies in the 70th and 90th minutes as SLU registered the 5-2 win.
