RECAP
Saint Louis and SMU played to a 1-1 draw Saturday night in nonconference men's soccer action at Robert R. Hermann Stadium.

The Billikens move to 1-1-2 with the tie, while SMU, which is receiving votes in the national coaches poll, is 2-2-1.

SLU started the scoring in the 41st minute when Ben Huels scored on a corner kick. Leo Novaes sent the ball to the far post, and Huels ran onto it and buried the shot to make it 1-0 Billikens. That remained the score through halftime.

In the second half, SMU equalized when Emil Cuello scored in the 53rd minute off a free kick.

Both teams had chances to take the lead, but the defenses were up to the task. Saint Louis ended up out-shooting the Mustangs 15-14 and had a 5-3 advantage in corner kicks.
