A LOOK AT THE BILLIKENS

• First-place Saint Louis and second-place George Washington meet in the 2019 regular-season finale Sunday, Oct. 27, with plenty at stake.
• A win or tie for SLU would mean a second consecutive outright regular-season crown for the preseason Atlantic 10 Conference favorite. George Washington must win to claim the title and No. 1 A-10 Championship seed that goes with it.
• Regardless of the outcome, SLU will host an A-10 Championship quarterfinal game Saturday, Nov. 2, at 1 p.m. Should they advance, the Billikens would be at home for the semifinals and final Friday and Sunday, Nov. 8 and 10, as well.
• SLU easily handled Richmond 4-0 Thursday night, while George Washington battled George Mason to a 2-2 draw.
• The Billikens lead the Colonials 8-3 in the all-time series; the teams are tied 2-2 in Washington. SLU has won three straight over GW, including 1-0 two years ago in D.C. when Alli Klug headed in a corner kick from Courtney Reimer in the 90th minute.
• SLU is 10-0-2 in its last 12 games, allowing just three goals.
• The Billikens are No. 58, highest among A-10 teams, in this week's RPI. SLU has played three teams in the RPI top 30 – Louisville (No. 11), Oklahoma State (No. 22) and Notre Dame (No. 30).
• SLU is No. 3 in the United Soccer Coaches East Region poll.
• Twenty-three different player combinations have accounted for the Billikens' 26 assisted goals this season. Thirteen Billikens have scored at least one goal, and 16 have tallied at least one point.
• SLU has impressive advantages over its opponents in goals (34-8), shots (273-127), shots on goal (119-53) and corner kicks (117-48).
• Saint Louis leads the A-10 in goals against average (0.44), save percentage (.849), shutouts (11) and corner kicks (117). In A-10 games only, the Billikens top the league in goals per game (2.78), GAA (0.34), shutouts (six) and corner kicks (72, while allowing only 13).
Mary Niehaus leads the A-10 in GAA (0.25), save percentage (.909) and shutouts (nine).
Hannah Friedrich leads the league in game-winning goals (six, tying the SLU single-season record), ranks fourth in goals per game (0.50) and is fifth in points per game (1.11) and shots per game (2.83).
Emily Groark and Evie Lavelle are third (0.36) and tied for fourth (0.33), respectively, in assists per game.
Annabelle Copeland and Anna Lawler are tied for seventh in game-winning goals (two).
• After capturing A-10 regular-season and tournament titles a year ago, SLU was selected to win the league again this season.
• Senior defender Alli Klug appears on the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List for a second straight season. Klug also is one of four Billikens on the A-10 preseason All-Conference team, joining senior goalkeeper Mary Niehaus, senior midfielder Courtney Reimer and sophomore forward Hannah Friedrich.

A LOOK AT THE COLONIALS

• George Washington is in contention for the A-10 regular-season championship despite a ninth-place preseason prediction.

• After dropping their season opener at William & Mary, the Colonials are unbeaten in 16 consecutive games.

• Redshirt-sophomore forward Rachel Sorkenn has team highs of eight goals and 21 points, ranking among the league's top 10 in both categories.

• Redshirt-senior midfielder/forward Sofia Pavon (4G, 5A) and sophomore midfielder Maria Pareja (5G, 3A) have 13 points apiece.

• Redshirt-senior defender Megan McCormick and sophomore defender Madi Coyne have five and four goals, respectively, while sophomore midfielder Sammy Neyman leads GW with six assists.

• Pavon was a first-team All-Conference selection last year, while Pareja and sophomore defender Hannah Zaluski were named to the A-10 All-Rookie team.
