RECAP
Senior Devin Boyce converted a penalty kick in the 37th minute to lift Saint Louis to a crucial 1-0 victory over Duquesne Saturday night in Atlantic 10 Conference men's soccer action at Rooney Field in Pittsburgh.
The win moves the Billikens to 10-5 overall and 6-1 in the A-10. More importantly, they keep pace with first-place Rhode Island, which finished its A-10 season with a 7-1 record. Boyce's goal was his fifth of the season and his second from the penalty spot. It also was his second game-winning goal of the season.
The Billikens outshot Duquesne 12-7 and had a 7-1 advantage in corner kicks. Goalkeeper Patrick Schulte made one save for his eighth shutout of the season.
