A LOOK AT THE BILLIKENS
• Regular-season champion and No. 1 seed Saint Louis begins its quest for a second consecutive A-10 Championship title Saturday, Nov. 2, in a quarterfinal game against No. 8 seed Duquesne. Kickoff at Robert R. Hermann Stadium is slated for 1 p.m. CDT.
• The Billikens and Dukes did not meet during the regular season.
• SLU leads the series 5-3 and is 4-1 vs. Duquesne in St. Louis. The Billikens defeated the Dukes 1-0 a year ago at Hermann Stadium. Duquesne's last series win was a 2-1 decision at home in 2017.
• The Bills are making their 10th A-10 Championship appearance. They are 9-5-1 in A-10 tournament games, including 3-0 last season with wins over Dayton (3-0), George Mason (3-1) and VCU (5-1).
• Saint Louis clinched a second straight A-10 regular-season crown by edging George Washington 2-1 last Sunday. Duquesne battled Rhode Island to a 0-0 draw in its regular-season finale.
• SLU is 11-0-2 in its last 13 games, allowing just four goals.
• The Billikens are 34-1-5 in their last 40 games at Hermann Stadium, a stretch that dates to the final home game of the 2015 campaign.
• The Billikens are No. 45, highest among A-10 teams, in this week's RPI. SLU has played three teams in the RPI top 40 – Oklahoma State (No. 16), Louisville (No. 18) and Notre Dame (No. 37).
• SLU is No. 4 in the United Soccer Coaches East Region poll.
• A deep, balanced SLU team has seen 24 different player combinations account for its 27 assisted goals this season. Thirteen Billikens have scored at least one goal, and 16 have tallied at least one point.

• Saint Louis leads the A-10 in goals against average (0.47), save percentage (.857) and shutouts (11). SLU is second in corner kicks (119). In A-10 games only, the Billikens topped the league in goals per game (2.70), GAA (0.40), shutouts (six) and corner kicks (74, while allowing only 15).
• Mary Niehaus leads the A-10 in GAA (0.30), save percentage (.907) and shutouts (nine).
• Hannah Friedrich leads the league in game-winning goals (school-record seven) and is sixth in goals per game (0.53) and shots per game (2.89), seventh in points per game (1.16) and 10th in shots on goal per game (1.21).
• Emily Groark and Evie Lavelle are fifth (0.33) and sixth (0.32), respectively, in assists per game.
• Annabelle Copeland and Anna Lawler are tied for seventh in game-winning goals (two).
• Senior defender Alli Klug appears on the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List for a second straight season. Klug also is one of four Billikens on the A-10 preseason All-Conference team, joining senior goalkeeper Mary Niehaus, senior midfielder Courtney Reimer and sophomore forward Hannah Friedrich.
A LOOK AT THE DUKES
• Duquesne is back in the A-10 Championship after not qualifying for the 2018 tournament.
• The Dukes were 1-3-1 over their last five league matches after starting 3-2.
• Junior midfielder Deena DeBaldo leads Duquesne in goals (nine), assists (four) and points (22). DeBaldo is third in points and sixth in goals in the A-10.
• Freshman forward Jaimi Araujo follows DeBaldo with 10 points (4G, 2A).
