ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis freshman Mason Leeth was named the Atlantic 10 Conference men's soccer Rookie of the Week, the league announced today.
 
It is the first weekly award released by the A-10 this season and includes all games played up to this point.
 
Leeth has played in all three games for the Billikens with two starts. In his collegiate debut against Kansas City on Feb. 3, he scored a late insurance goal in the 88^th minute to complete a 3-0 SLU victory in its opener.
 
The next game against McKendree, Leeth assisted on Chase Niece's game winning goal when he backheeled a shot toward goal that was cleared off the line by a Bearcat defender. Niece got the rebound for the game winner in the 65^th minute.
 
Leeth and the Billikens (2-1) return to action on Sunday when they travel to Indianapolis to face Butler. Game time is set for 1 p.m. (CT).
