RECAP
Saint Louis scored on a penalty kick early in the first half and added two second-half insurance goals in a 3-0 season-opening victory over Kansas City Wednesday night at Robert R. Hermann Stadium.

Stefan Stojanovic gave the Billikens the only tally they would need in the 15th minute, drilling a PK past the Kansas City goalkeeper following a hand ball in the box. It was the sophomore's first career goal.

In the second half, two freshmen also registered their first Saint Louis goals. Patrick Weah, assisted by redshirt-freshman Sam Rowan, doubled the Billiken lead in the 53rd minute. Mason Leeth tacked on an unassisted marker in the 88th minute.

SLU out-shot Kansas City 12-3 overall and 6-1 in shots on goal. Patrick Schulte made one save for the Billikens.
