ST. LOUIS – Nawal Cheema won at No. 6 singles, and Mya Spencer and Jessica Stefan prevailed at No. 2 doubles, in Saint Louis' 6-1 loss to Illinois State Sunday at Dwight Davis Tennis Center.
 
Cheema defeated Ivon Mihaleva 6-4, 6-2. Spencer and Stefan were 6-0 winners over Jelena Karla Vujicic and Alicja Zduniak.

"We had our chances, being up breaks on all of the doubles courts and in many of the singles matches," head coach Justin Stuckey said. "We fought hard but didn't handle the adversity in the match the best. We will look to fix that quickly for the next matches this coming weekend."
