DAYTON, Ohio – Saint Louis completed a 2-0 weekend against Atlantic 10 Conference opponents by defeating Dayton 4-1 on Sunday.
 
The Billikens won the doubles point to take a 1-0 lead. At No. 1, Elizabeth Mintusova and Mariona Perez defeated Paige Kompa and Elizabeth Hamilton 6-3. The No. 2 team of Jessica Stefan and Mya Spencer beat Erica Wojcikiewicz and Natalie Stanton 6-2.
 
Anna Derecka rallied to claim a 1-6, 6-2, 6-3 victory over Kelly Pleiman at No. 5 singles. Mintusova (6-0, 6-1 over Kompa at No. 1) and Spencer (6-2, 6-1 over Sarah DeMarco at No. 4) breezed in their singles matches.

"We had to battle to get the doubles point," head coach Justin Stuckey said. "Credit Dayton for bringing the fight to us in the singles matches, however, we were ready to step up and close out the match. We played with a lot of heart and energy in the past matches. We will get back to work next week so that we can keep improving."
