Billikens Remain Unbeaten with 4-0 Win Over Patriots

ST. LOUIS – No. 16 Saint Louis dominated from start to finish in a 4-0 Atlantic 10 Conference victory over George Mason Saturday night in front of a large Hermann Stadium crowd.

The Billikens remain unbeaten on the year at 5-0-3 overall and 2-0 in A-10 play.

A SLU Homecoming and Family Weekend crowd of 4,762 were on hand for the match. That is a top-five crowd in collegiate soccer this season.

The Billikens' Kipp Keller opened the scoring in the 23rd minute with a header off of a corner kick. John Klein sent a ball into the box and Keller met it and buried into the back of the net for his second goal in as many games.

Kevin Komodi made it 2-0 SLU 10 minutes into the second half when he chipped one over the George Mason keeper, who was off of his line. Klein also assisted on the play, giving him seven for the year, which ranks among the top in the NCAA.

SLU rattled off two more quick goals to put the game out of reach. Isaiah Parker raced in off a feed from Christian Buendia and buried it after a strong individual effort. Moments later, Simon Becher made it 4-0 when the finished off of a touch from Parker.

Saint Louis outshot George Mason 25-6. The Billikens put up 16 corner kicks, a season high.

Patrick Schulte made two saves for his third clean sheet of the season.

The Billikens return to action Tuesday, Sept. 28, when they travel to face Kansas City. The Bills are back at Hermann Stadium for an A-10 matchup on Saturday, Oct. 2, against Fordham.
