Billikens Top Omaha in Exhibition, 2-0

ST. LOUIS – The 10th-ranked Saint Louis men's soccer team completed the exhibition season with a 2-0 victory over Omaha Saturday in front of 2,725 fans at Robert R. Hermann Stadium.

The Billikens, who finished 1-0-1 in exhibition play, now set their sights on the season opener on Thursday at Louisville. Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. (CT).

Freshman Karson Gibbs scored for the Billikens in the first half off an assist from John Klein. An Omaha own goal late in regulation added to the final tally.

Prior to the game, the Billikens' 1997 team was honored as that team celebrated the 25th anniversary of their season, which resulted in a Conference USA Championship and an appearance in the College Cup.
