•Fresh off a 1-0 win over No. 8 Arkansas Thursday night, Saint Louis hits the road for the first time in 2022 to take on Drake Sunday, Aug. 21. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m.

•The turnout of 3,102 fans at Thursday night's SLU-Arkansas game is the second-highest attendance for a Billiken women's soccer home game. They saw Emily Gaebe, assisted by Anna Walsh, score a goal in the 34th minute that held up for the victory.
•The Billikens lead the Bulldogs 3-1 in a series that dates to 2006. SLU claimed a 2-0 win in the first meeting, which occurred in the opening round of the 2006 NCAA Championship in St. Louis. In 2014, the Billikens won 2-1 in the only previous meeting in Des Moines. The Bulldogs recorded their lone series win in 2015, outlasting the Billikens 4-3 in St. Louis. Most recently, Saint Louis was a 3-0 home winner in 2019. Two current Billikens figured in the scoring as Anna Lawler, assisted by Hannah Friedrich, tallied SLU's first goal.
•Saint Louis was a near-unanimous choice to win the 2022 Atlantic 10 Conference crown in balloting by A-10 head coaches. The Billikens received 14 of 15 first-place votes. SLU has won three of the last four regular-season championships and the last four A-10 tournament titles.
•A league-high five Billikens landed on the A-10 preseason All-Conference team. Brionna Halverson, Abbie Miller and Emily Puricelli made the list after earning first-team All-Conference plaudits in 2021. They are joined by Emily Gaebe, the 2021 A-10 Rookie of the Year and a second-team All-Conference selection, and Hannah Friedrich, the No. 2 scorer in program history.
•Drake was picked to finish fourth in the Missouri Valley Conference preseason poll. The Bulldogs tied for fifth in the MVC a year ago, posting a 2-3-3 league record and an 8-7-5 overall mark.
•Two goals in the first five minutes powered Drake to a 3-1 season-opening victory at Kansas City Thursday night.
•The Billikens return home to face 16th-ranked Notre Dame Thursday, Aug. 25. First whistle is scheduled for 7 p.m.
