ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis senior forward John Klein earned his second Atlantic 10 Conference weekly award of the season today when he was named the league's Offensive Player of the Week.
 
Klein helped the Billikens to a pair of victories last week against SIUE and La Salle. Against La Salle on Saturday, Klein scored twice as the Billikens defeated the Explorers 3-1 in the A-10 opener. He also was a key contributor to the Billikens' offensive explosion at SIUE, where SLU scored a season-high four goals to defeat the Cougars 4-1 and keep control of the Bronze Boot.
 
Klein leads the Billikens in goals (3) and points (7). He is eighth among all active NCAA Division I players with 73 career points (25G, 23A). His 23 assists are tied for fifth in the NCAA.
 
The Billikens host VCU at Hermann Stadium on Saturday night for Homecoming. Game time is 7:30 p.m., with the traditional fireworks display taking place at halftime.
