ST. LOUIS – Off to a 9-1 start and owners of a seven-game winning streak, the Saint Louis Billikens are a consensus top-10 team in this week's NCAA Division I women's soccer national rankings.

The Billikens are ranked No. 10 by United Soccer Coaches, achieving the program's all-time highest ranking in the coaches' poll for a third consecutive week. SLU also is ranked No. 1 in the East Region for a third straight week.

Top Drawer Soccer has Saint Louis at No. 8 – the highest ranking in any poll in program history – while College Soccer News positions the Billikens at No. 9.

SLU is one of eight consensus top-10 teams this week, joining UCLA, Virginia, North Carolina, Rutgers, Duke, Alabama and defending national champion Florida State.

After winning its first two Atlantic 10 Conference games on the road last week, Saint Louis hosts A-10 newcomer Loyola Chicago Thursday, Sept. 22, at 7 p.m. The Billikens were the preseason favorite to capture the conference title, while the Ramblers were tabbed for third place.
