JACKSON, Miss. – Saint Louis women's tennis opened the spring season with two victories Saturday, defeating Alcorn State 7-0 and 4-0.
 
Mya Spencer led the Billikens with a 4-0 combined record. Spencer won a match apiece at No. 3 and No. 4 singles and teamed with Norhan Hesham for a 2-0 mark at No. 1 doubles.

"We worked hard on our doubles play during the fall and have continued that at the start of the spring season," head coach Justin Stuckey said. "Mya and Norhan stepping up to win at first doubles twice was important to get the team off to a good start. We had great energy and won as a team."
 
The Billikens host Chicago State Saturday, Feb. 4, at St. Clair Tennis Club in O'Fallon, Ill. Match time is 5 p.m.
