Bills Tie St. Joe's, Snag No. 2 Seed

PHILADELPHIA – Saint Louis rallied for a 3-3 draw at Saint Joseph's on Saturday night in Atlantic 10 Conference men's soccer action at Sweeney Field.

The Billikens (8-4-4, 4-1-3) earned the No. 2 seed in the A-10 Men's Soccer Championship and will host No. 7 Massachusetts on Friday, Nov. 3, at Hermann Stadium at 7 p.m.

On Saturday, Saint Joseph's (4-11-2, 2-4-2 A-10) scored twice in the first half to take a 2-0 lead into halftime.

The Bills answered by tying the score with a pair of second-half goals by Diego Konincks and Matthew Wrobel.

The Hawks regained the lead at 3-2 with less than 10 minutes to go, setting up late game heroics by the Anderson brothers.

With less than two minutes to go, Seth Anderson fired a cross into the area that the SJU keeper was unable to contain. Tanner Anderson was there to knock in the game-winner, helping SLU to the hard-earned point and giving the Bills a top four seed in the A-10 Championship and the right to host a home game in the quarterfinals.
