O'FALLON, Ill. – Saint Louis upped its record to 9-1 with a 7-0 win over Lindenwood Thursday afternoon at St. Clair Tennis Club.
 
"The guys brought a high level of effort, competitiveness and energy against an improved Lindenwood team," assistant coach Isaac Pearlstone said. "In doubles, we did a great job of closing the net and working together as a team. We stayed composed in singles and played high-percentage tennis. It was a great team win."
 
A pair of 6-2 wins in doubles put SLU on top 1-0. 
Ryota Fukushima and 
Adam Behun beat Alonso De Prada and Fernando Martin Paz at No. 2, while 
Andres Castellanos and 
Luca Lo Nardo topped Mattis Lamm and Pavle Drobnjakovic at No. 3.
 
Castellanos overcame a first-set loss to defeat Carlos Rodriguez Gonzalez 4-6, 6-2, 10-4 at No. 1 singles. Behun was extended to three sets at No. 3 before prevailing 6-0, 2-6, 6-0 over De Prada.
 
Also winning for the Billikens were Fukushima, 6-0, 6-0 over Anton de la Puente at No. 2; Lo Nardo, 6-4, 6-2 over Martin Paz at No. 4; 
Jonathan Sadowski, 6-2, 6-3 over Lamm at No. 5; and 
Sansh Kumar, 6-2, 6-3 over Drobnjakovic at No. 6.
