NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – After a record-breaking performance at last week's Raleigh Relays, Saint Louis sophomore Toby Gillen was named the Atlantic 10 Conference Performer of the Week for men's outdoor track and field, the league announced today.
 
Gillen ran the fastest time so far in the NCAA this season in the 5,000 meters, finishing in a school- and meet-record time of 13:35.29.
 
It is the third A-10 weekly honor of Gillen's career. Last season, he notched one A-10 Rookie of the Week nod and another A-10 Performer of the Week honor.
 
Saint Louis hosts the Billiken Invitational on Friday, March 31, at SLU Medical Center Stadium on the University's south campus. Action gets underway with the throws events at 1 p.m. Please note that the new throws facility is located at the SLU Medical Center Stadium behind the north bleachers.
