Busy Weekend Yields Positive Results

Saint Louis' track and field teams were spread across the country this weekend, and the Billikens posted several personal bests during the week.

A group of Billikens traveled to California to participate in the Twilight Open at Cal State – LA, as well as the Bryan Clay Invitational at Azusa-Pacific. The rest of the SLU athletes took part in the Cougar Classic, hosted by SIUE in Edwardsville, Ill.

Among the strong performances for the Billikens included Toby Gillen setting the school record in the 1,500 meters at the Bryan Clay Invitational. He finished in a time of 3:42.00 to best the previous record of 3:48.86, set by Tannock Blair in 2017.

Complete results from all the meets can be viewed at the links above.

The Billikens are back in action next weekend at the Gary Wieneke Memorial at the University of Illinois.
