DAYTON, Ohio – Saint Louis women's tennis concluded the regular season Thursday by topping Atlantic 10 Conference opponent Duquesne 4-0.

The Billikens improved to 17-6, tying the 2014, 1995 and 1980 Saint Louis teams for the second-highest victory total in program history. The school record is 20, established in 2016.

Elizabeth Mintusova and Ksenia Aleshina continued their doubles dominance, defeating Jasa Roka and Anastasiia Kotsyuba 6-3 at No. 2. That win, coupled with a 6-2 victory for Sandra Gines and Mya Spencer over Ana Utrilla Benito and Ellen Shanahan at No. 3, gave the Billikens a 1-0 lead.

In singles, Mintusova was a 6-2, 6-3 winner over Margot Pessy at No. 1; Norhan Hesham outlasted Daniela Latoni 6-2, 3-6, 6-1 at No. 2; and Aleshina cruised past Natasha Novak 6-0, 6-2 at No. 4.

"In typical Billiken fashion, our team swept a conference match to finish the regular season," assistant coach Alba De La Torre said. "The energy and capitalization on critical points secured the doubles point. The good energy carried over to singles, and the fighting mentality of all the players led to the victory."

"The team did a really great job today overcoming tough situations in singles and keeping the energy up," sophomore Kate Sexton said. "This match was a great way to finish our regular season. We are feeling confident going into the conference tournament next week."

Up next for the Billikens is the A-10 Championship Wednesday-Sunday, April 26-30, in Orlando, Fla.
