Saint Louis opens Atlantic 10 Conference men's soccer play on Friday night when it travels to Richmond, Virginia, to face the VCU Rams at Sport Backer Stadium. Game time is set for 6 p.m. (CT).

Friday's match will be streamed on ESPN+.

Saint Louis (1-3) is coming off a hard-fought 1-0 loss at nationally ranked SMU last weekend. The Bills have dropped three straight after opening the season with a 2-1 win against Butler. CJ Coppola (2G) and Diego Konincks (1G) are the goal scorers for SLU.

VCU enters the match 0-3-2. Like the Billikens, the Rams are coming off a 1-0 loss against a nationally ranked foe as they dropped a close match at Missouri State last week in Springfield.

Here are five additional facts in advance of Friday's match at VCU:

1 // The Billikens are beginning their 19th season as a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference. In its A-10 history, the Billikens have captured at least a share of seven regular season crowns and have won four tournament titles.

2 // The Billikens are 103-32-15 (.737) all-time in A-10 regular season matchups. SLU is 16-1-1 in its last 18 A-10 matches dating back to the end of the 2020 season.

3 // This is the final game of a four-game stretch of games being played away from Hermann Stadium. After Friday's match, SLU plays four in a row and five of its next six games at home.

4 // SLU head coach Kevin Kalish, the A-10 Coach of the Year each of the last two seasons, is in his sixth season at SLU and 12th overall as a collegiate head coach. He is 54-25-14 during his time at SLU and 103-71-28 in his career.

5 // Saint Louis leads the all-time series against the Rams 5-2-3. Last season, the two squads played to a scoreless draw at Hermann Stadium. The Billikens won 4-1 in the last game played in Richmond during the 2021 season.
