•Saint Louis attempts to return to the win column as the Billikens face George Mason Thursday, Sept. 28, in Fairfax, Va. Game time is 6 p.m. Central.

•SLU enters the game with a 7-2-2 overall record and a 2-0-1 Atlantic 10 Conference mark following last Sunday's 1-1 draw vs. Dayton. The Billikens are riding a six-game (4-0-2) unbeaten streak.
•George Mason recorded its first victory of the season last Thursday, winning 1-0 at Richmond. Sunday's game at Saint Joseph's was postponed due to inclement weather.
•Saint Louis leads the series with George Mason 4-3-1 and has won the last two meetings. Mason holds a 3-1-1 edge in Fairfax.
•The Billikens defeated the Patriots 3-0 last season in St. Louis.
Caroline Kelly's goal in the seventh minute, assisted by
Emily Groark and
Anna Lawler, was all the offense SLU would need.
Hannah Sawyer (
Emily Gaebe) and
Jess Preusser (Groark) added insurance in the 33rd and 81st minutes, respectively. Saint Louis earned advantages of 42-1 in total shots, 19-1 in shots on goal and 11-1 in corner kicks.
•SLU rose eight spots to No. 21 in this week's NCAA Division I Ratings Percentage Index (RPI). The Bills are the highest-rated team in the A-10, with Dayton (No. 33) also among the top 100.
•Five of the Billikens' eight non-conference opponents are in the top 100 – BYU (No. 7), Nebraska (No. 27), Xavier (No. 29), Brown (No. 36) and Creighton (No. 91).
•The Billikens are third among "others receiving votes" in the United Soccer Coaches Top 25 poll, No. 23 in the College Soccer News Top 30, and No. 24 in the Top Drawer Soccer Top 25.

Caroline Kelly are tied for the team lead with five goals apiece. Three of Gaebe's goals have come in the last two games.

Lyndsey Heckel and
Hannah Sawyer are next with three goals apiece. Heckel has scored twice in the last three matches, both game-winners.

Emily Puricelli carries a 0.94 goals against average and an .846 save percentage.
•In the national rankings, the Billikens are 13th in goals per game (2.82), 18th in points per game (7.82), 19th in shots on goal per game (8.64), 28th in corner kicks per game (6.64), 32nd in save percentage (.851), 34th in total shots per game (17.27) and 39th in assists per game (2.18). All but the corner kicks and save percentage lead the A-10.
