MSOC PREVIEW: Senior Night Tuesday Prior to Blackburn Match

Saint Louis hosts the Blackburn Beavers for Senior Night on Tuesday. The ceremony honoring the Billikens' 15 seniors will begin at 6:45 p.m. First kick is scheduled for 7 p.m.

The Billikens (6-2-7) step outside of conference play for their final non-conference match of the year. The Bills play at Dayton on Saturday night in the regular-season finale. 

Blackburn plays in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) in NCAA Division III. The Beavers are 3-9-4 on the season.

Here are five additional facts in advance of Saturday's match vs. George Washington:

1 // The following members of the Billiken men's soccer family will be honored prior to the match: manager Noah Epstein, Tiago Lopes, Max Floriani, Joey Maher, Seth Anderson, Brogan Townsend, Matthew Wrobel, Luis Lara, Grady Easton, Dylan Olson, Lawson Redmon, Jeremi Abonnel, Nate Shapiro, Greg L'Hommedieu and Nate Ward.

2 // Luis Lara leads the Billikens with seven goals. He is SLU's active leader in career goals with 23 (16 at Stetson, seven at Saint Louis).

3 // Seth Anderson leads the A-10 and is tied for fourth in the NCAA with nine assists.

4 // Jeremi Abonnel was named A-10 Defensive Player of the Week on Monday. He leads the A-10 and is tied for second nationally with eight shutouts. Abonnel's 0.60 goals against average is good for fourth in the NCAA. 

5 // SLU is coming off a 5-0 victory over George Washington on Saturday night. The five goals – scored by five different players – were a season high.

UP NEXT

Saint Louis heads to Dayton on Saturday night for a pivotal A-10 matchup. The Billikens are still in the mix for at least a share of the A-10 regular-season title heading into the final weekend of conference play.
