Billiken Women, Men Defeat Bellarmine

ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis swimming and diving swept a dual meet vs. Bellarmine Saturday at Simon Recreation Center, winning 124-93 in the women's competition and 120-98 in the men's competition.
 
Each team won four individual events and both relays.
 
The women's winners were Ella Bolling in the 200 free (1:58.90), Amelia Carlson in the 50 free (24.71), MaryBeth Clark in the 100 fly (58.73) and Lauren Van Vooren in 1-meter diving (231.53). The 400 medley relay team of Meghan Eng, Kenna Cashman, Clark and Hanna Whitney clocked a time of 3:56.68, while Carlson, Bolling, Eng and Karis Reynaga won the 400 free relay in 3:37.89.
 
The men's team received victories from Logan Townsend in the 200 free (1:43.19), Colton Mosley in the 100 free (48.26), Brae Sanchez in the 100 breast (56.04) and Ben Mears in 1-meter diving (306.98). Daniel Jekov, Sanchez, Evan Crim and Townsend teamed to capture the 400 medley relay in 3:26.01, and Grant Gerl, Jekov, Franklin Liu and Townsend claimed the 400 free relay in 3:08.45.
 
Up next for the Billikens is the House of Champions meet Nov. 21-23 in Indianapolis.
