Complete Results

INDIANAPOLISBrae Sanchez, Hanna Whitney and the men's 200 medley relay team set school records for Saint Louis as the Billikens competed in the House of Champions Invitational Nov. 21-23.

The Billiken men finished fourth among 11 teams, while the Billiken women placed 10th among 13 teams.

Sanchez swam 54.04 in the men's 100 breast prelims, breaking the record of 54.17 established by Justin Mars in 2019. He went on to place third in the final (54.29).

Whitney clocked a 1:04.11 in the women's 100 breast prelims, surpassing the previous mark of 1:04.13 set by Morgan Peterson in 2014.

Sanchez was joined by Evan Crim, Grant Gerl and Colton Mosley in the 200 medley relay. The quartet's time of 1:28.56 topped the previous school standard of 1:28.72 turned in by Mars, T.J. Halliburton, Ryan McCoy and Isaiah Williams in 2018.

The 100 breast was one of three "A" finals for Sanchez. He finished second in the 50 breast (24.93) – the highest finish for any Saint Louis competitor – and sixth in the 200 breast (2:01.92). Sanchez's 79 points in individual events were the most scored by a Billiken.

Also reaching "A" finals for the men's team were Tino Ferranti, fourth in the 50 breast (25.21); Crim, tied for fourth in the 50 back (22.84); Logan Townsend, sixth in the 200 free (1:39.44); Gerl, seventh in the 50 fly (22.21); Jeddrick Gamilla, seventh in the 200 breast (2:02.21); and Drayton Beber, seventh in the 100 IM (51.88).

Joining Sanchez in the top three of the individual-event scoring standings were Crim (65) and Gerl (51.5), each of whom scored in four events.

Lauren Van Vooren posted the highest finish for the Billiken women, landing in third place in platform diving (162.00). Elizabeth Voss finished sixth in the event (132.45).

Also competing in "A" finals were Meghan Eng, eighth in the 100 back (56.32), and Sarah Dingus, eighth in the 50 fly (25.82).

Eng's 40.5 points were the most scored by a Billiken in individual events. Voss (35) and Kenna Cashman (30) were second and third, respectively.
