O'FALLON, Ill. – Saint Louis withstood a furious late challenge by Oral Roberts to capture a sixth consecutive victory Friday night, 4-3 at St. Clair Tennis Club.
 
The Billikens (6-1) led 3-0, but the Golden Eagles won three-set decisions at Nos. 1, 2 and 6 singles. However, Declan Townsend captured a three-set decision of his own, 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 over Eli Brewer at No. 3, in the deciding match to give SLU its third 4-3 win of the season.
 
Also winning in singles were Andres Castellanos, 6-0, 6-0 over Cayden Cheek at No. 4, and Theo Ortis, 6-4, 6-1 over Ryan Holloway at No. 5.
 
In doubles, Townsend and Jonathan Sadowski defeated Gustavo Pinho and Ricardo Filho 6-4 at No. 1, and Luca Lo Nardo and Valentin Vasquez were 6-1 winners over Cheek and Holloway at No. 2.
