Saint Louis' track and field teams were spread out across five meets this past weekend, four of which were contested on the West Coast and the other right across the Mississippi River at SIUE.
Among the performances ranking at the top of the Billikens' season performance list was
Will Stewart in the 200 meters. He finished in a time of 21.75 at the Bryan Clay Invitational at Azusa Pacific.
Aidan Martin ran the top time for the Bills in the 400 meters, crossing in 48.30 at the Cougar Classic at SIUE.
At the Bryan Clay Invitational,
Harrison Martinenko posted SLU season-best times in both the 800 meters (1:51.29) and the 1,500 meters (3:46.15).
Spencer Werner eclipsed a seasonal-best in the 5,000 meters at the Bryan Clay Invitational, crossing the line in 14:09.98.
Aaron Toben finished the 400-meter hurdles in a SLU top time of 55.38 at the Beach Invitational at Long Beach State.
Evan Bruenderman leaped 6.76 meters in the triple jump at the Pacific Coast Invitational at Long Beach State. That was a top mark by a Billiken this season.
On the women's side,
Mikayla McDowell and
Emily Nichols posted the top two times of the season in the 200 meters, crossing in 24.65 and 25.06, respectively, at the Pacific Coast Invitational. They did the same in the 400 meters at the Bryan Clay Invitational. McDowell crossed in 54.71, while Nichols finished in 55.05.
Riley Franz ran the Billikens' top 800-meter time of the year at the Bryan Clay Invitational, finishing in 2:13.02.
Sonja Morin crossed the 1,500-meter line in 4:39.02 at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
McKenna Paulson finished the 5,000 meters in 16:48.26 at the Bryan Clay Invitational, a SLU seasonal-best time.
The women's 4x400-meter relay of
Patricia O'Neill,
Becky Phillips, McDowell and Nichols posted a time of 3:47.01 at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
Annie Beck had the Billikens' top mark of the season in the high jump of 1.54 meters at the Cougar Classic.
Aislinn Hyder reached 3.25 meters in the pole vault at SIUE for a SLU seasonal best.
Journey Amundson had a top long jump of 5.84 meters at the Pacific Coast Invitational and the team's top triple jump of 12.47 meters at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
Libby Williams had SLU's top mark of 12.30 meters in the shot put at the Bryan Clay Invitational.
Madeline Rowold's mark of 41 meters in the javelin at the Pacific Coast Invitational was a SLU season's best.
The Billikens are back in action next weekend when they host the SLU Alumni Meet at the SLU Medical Center Recreational Complex on the south campus. The meet will be held Friday-Saturday, April 19-20.
