ORLANDO, Fla. – No. 4 seed Saint Louis concluded its season Saturday morning with a 5-0 loss to No. 1 VCU in an Atlantic 10 Conference Men's Tennis Championship semifinal at the USTA National Campus.

Despite the loss, the Billikens (15-4) finished with a school-record .789 winning percentage. In addition, Saint Louis posted 15 wins in consecutive seasons – last year's team was 15-6 – for a second time in program history (1978 and 1979).

Declan Townsend and Theo Ortis provided strong challenges in their unfinished singles matches at No. 3 and No. 5, respectively. Townsend was tied 2-2 with Oscar Pinto Sansano in the second set after being edged 7-5 in a first-set tiebreaker, while Ortis held a 4-2 second-set advantage after Hamza El Amine won the opening frame 7-5.
