ST. LOUIS – Participating in its first of two home meets this season, Saint Louis turned in solid performances at the Billiken Invitational Friday at the SLU Medical Center Recreational Complex on Saint Louis University's south campus.

Several Billikens finished first in their respective events.
Samantha Kunza won the hammer throw, reaching a distance of 200-11.
Madeline Rowold took home the win the javelin, tossing 127-10. In the triple jump,
Journey Amundson won the event with a leap of 39-06.75.

On the men's side,
Evan Bruenderman took first in the long jump with a leap of 21-10.75.

Other strong performances for SLU included
Emily Nichols and
Mikayla McDowell finishing second and third in 200 meters with times of 25.15 and 25.28, respectively.
Becky Phillips was third in the women's 400 meters with a time of 58.74.

Carson Amstutz was third in the 400 meters with a time of 51.19, just ahead of
Jace Peterson who placed fourth with a time of 51.82.
Ethan Bryant placed third in the 110-meter hurdles, crossing in 15.17.
Will Stewart placed third in the 100 meters, clocking 10.88.

Next week, the Billikens head to California for the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, California.
