Saint Louis officially begins the 2024 season on Friday night when it hosts No. 7 Indiana at Robert R. Hermann Stadium. Game time is set for 7 p.m.

A large crowd is expected. Fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance here and arrive early to Hermann Stadium to avoid long lines. Parking is available in the Olive-Compton Parking Garage adjacent to the stadium.

Saint Louis and Indiana are two of the most storied programs in collegiate soccer. The Billikens own an NCAA-record 10 national championships. Indiana ranks second in the NCAA with eight national crowns. Saint Louis has advanced to the NCAA Men's Soccer Championship 50 times, an NCAA record, while Indiana has made 48 NCAA appearances.

The Billikens are coming off a 2023 campaign that saw them finish at 8-4-5 overall and 4-1-3 in the Atlantic 10 Conference. Indiana advanced to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Men's Soccer Championship last season and went 15-4-5 overall and 4-2-2 in the Big Ten.

1 //Â The 2024 campaign marks the 66th season of SLU men's soccer. Saint Louis' all-time record is 833-277-123.

2 //Â SLU defender Joey Maher was named to the A-10 preseason All-Conference team. He comes to SLU after a stellar four-year career at IU, playing in two College Cups with the Hoosiers, including last year as a team captain. In all, Maher appeared in 85 matches (83 starts) at Indiana and was part of a defense that collected 40 shutouts. Joey's brother, Josh, is a freshman on the Hoosiers' roster.

3 //Â SLU welcomes 14 newcomers (five transfers and nine freshmen) into the fold this year. The Billikens' recruiting class was the No. 2-ranked class in the country by Top Drawer Soccer after having the top-ranked class in the country the year prior.

4 //Â SLU head coach Kevin Kalish, a two-time A-10 Coach of the Year, is in his seventh season at SLU and 13th overall as a collegiate head coach. Kalish is 61-26-19 during his time at SLU and 110-72-33 in his career.

5 //Â Indiana leads 24-17-5 in a series dating to 1959. The teams last met in the NCAA Tournament in 2022, won by IU 1-0 in Bloomington. Indiana has won seven in a row in the series. The last Billiken victory came in 2007, a 2-1 win at Hermann Stadium.
