•In the first of two games for Saint Louis vs. Big East Conference opponents this season, the Billikens meet Creighton Friday, Sept. 6, in Omaha, Neb. Kickoff is slated for 5 p.m.

•Both teams are looking to rebound from a loss. SLU fell 2-1 to Penn State at home on Sunday, while Creighton dropped a 5-2 decision at Nebraska on Monday.
•Saint Louis and Creighton are meeting for a fourth time. SLU leads the series 3-0, winning 2-0 at home in 2000, 2-1 in Omaha in 2001, and 4-1 in St. Louis in 2023.
•In last year's game, Lyndsey Heckel, Emily Gaebe and Hannah Sawyer had a goal apiece, and Hannah Larson collected two assists. The Billikens led 2-1 at halftime and put the game out of reach with goals in the 48th and 58th minutes.
•Saint Louis remained at No. 19 in this week's United Soccer Coaches poll and fell eight spots to No. 23 in the Top Drawer Soccer poll.
•SLU is hoping to keep its perfect 2024 road record intact. The Billikens won both of their first two games on an opponent's pitch, 2-0 at Missouri and 4-0 at Missouri State.
•In addition to its loss to Nebraska, Creighton has wins of 2-1 at Iowa State and 3-0 vs. Western Michigan, and a 2-1 defeat at Minnesota.
•Saint Louis leads the A-10 in corner kicks per game (8.40, 12th nationally) and shutout percentage (.600, 37th). The Billikens are second in save percentage (.900, 21st), third in shots on goal per game (7.40, 69th) and fourth in shot accuracy (.544, 41st).
•Emily Puricelli is second in save percentage (.893, 31st) and shutouts (two, 40th). Emily Gaebe is second in shots on goal per game (2.20, 36th) and total shots per game (4.00, 38th).
•Creighton was tabbed for a seventh-place finish in the Big East after going 4-9-5 overall and 2-7-1 in conference play a year ago. The 2023 Bluejays posted a respectable 1.72 goals against average, with SLU's four goals the most they conceded all season.
•Senior midfielder Azumi Manriki, a second-team All-Conference choice in 2023, was selected to the 2024 preseason All-Big East team.
•Creighton head coach Jimmy Walker is in his first season with the Bluejays. Among Walker's previous head-coaching stops was a four-year stint (2003-06) with Atlantic 10 Conference member Duquesne.
