•No. 19 Saint Louis and SIUE meet at CITYPARK, home of Major League Soccer's St. Louis CITY SC, for a second straight year Sunday, Sept. 8. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.

•It's a quick turnaround for the Billikens, who registered a 0-0 draw at Creighton on Friday. SIUE last played a week ago when the Cougars suffered their first defeat of the season, 1-0 at Purdue Fort Wayne.
•Saint Louis and SIUE first squared off in 2011. A six-game winning streak, including last season's 5-1 triumph at CITYPARK, has given the Billikens a 7-1-1 series lead.
•SIUE scored in the fourth minute of last year's game, but it was all Saint Louis after that. The Billikens led 2-1 at halftime and tacked on three second-half goals. SLU outshot SIUE 24-4 overall and 11-3 in shots on goal and earned a 6-1 edge in corner kicks.
•Missouri State was a common early opponent for Saint Louis and SIUE. The Billikens defeated the Bears 4-0, while the Cougars earned a 0-0 tie. Both games were played in Springfield.
•Saint Louis remained at No. 19 in this week's United Soccer Coaches poll and fell eight spots to No. 23 in the Top Drawer Soccer poll.
•Saint Louis leads the A-10 in corner kicks per game (8.00, 12th nationally) and shutout percentage (.667, 37th). The Billikens are second in save percentage (.909, 21st), third in shots on goal per game (7.00, 69th) and fourth in shot accuracy (.532, 41st).
•Emily Puricelli is second in save percentage (.903, 31st) and shutouts (three, 40th). Emily Gaebe is second in shots on goal per game (2.33, 36th) and total shots per game (4.00, 38th).
•SIUE received six 1st-place votes and finished second behind Tennessee Tech in the 2024 Ohio Valley Conference preseason poll. The Cougars were 5-6-6 overall and 3-2-4 (tied for third) in the OVC last year.
•Graduate defender Matea Diekema has been named OVC Defender of the Year the past two seasons. Diekema was a 2023 United Soccer Coaches first-team All-Region selection. Also returning from a year ago are redshirt-senior midfielder Sidney Christopher (All-OVC second team) and sophomore defender Taylor Babb (OVC All-Newcomer team).
•Saint Louis concludes the non-conference portion of its schedule Thursday, Sept. 12, against 15th-ranked Xavier in Cincinnati. Game time is 6 p.m. Central.
