XC PREVIEW: Weather Moves Up Pre-National Invitational

Saint Louis' men's and women's cross country teams are back in action on Friday for the Pre-National Invitational at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course at the University of Missouri.

The meet was originally scheduled for Saturday but was moved up one day due to the weather forecast in Columbia.

"This is the final tune up for us heading into the A-10 Championships," SLU head coach Jon Bell said. "The last time we competed we didn't have our best day, so this meet will also hopefully act as a bit of redemption for us. Regardless of the results, I do know this team will not be intimidated heading into the A-10 Championships. Without a doubt this has been the most competitive schedule we have ever competed since I have been the head coach."

The women's 6K is scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, while the men's 8K will be ran at 10:45 a.m.

Live results for the meet are available here. It will be streamed on SECNetwork+.

It is the final regular-season meet for the Bills. It is also the third time SLU has competed this year at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course, the site of the 2025 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships.

Starr Scott and Emily Morden (twice) have led the SLU women in three previous meets this season. On the men's side, Manny Vela has finished out front for the Bills in all three meets.

Next up for the Billikens is the 2025 Atlantic 10 Conference Championship, set for Saturday, Nov. 1, in Cedarville, Ohio.
