Box Score CHICAGO – The 16th-ranked Saint Louis Billikens rallied to secure a 1-1 draw at Loyola Chicago Saturday, and in doing so captured at least a share of the Atlantic 10 Conference regular-season crown.
Saint Louis, unbeaten in its last six, is now 8-2-5 overall and 5-0-2 in conference play. Loyola Chicago is 4-4-7 and 1-2-4 in the league.
The Billikens came from behind for the second straight game. Jack McFeely scored for Loyola Chicago just before halftime to make it 1-0 Ramblers at the break.
That remained the score until the 84th minute when the Billikens broke through. Tanner Anderson fed Abdoul Karim Pare for the equalizer. It was Pare's team-high-tying third strike of the season.
SLU played a man down for much of the match after Draven Barnett was issued a red card 18 minutes in.
The Billikens, who are three points up on Davidson and Fordham heading into the final week of regular-season play, can win the A-10 regular season outright with a win or draw against Rhode Island Saturday, Nov. 1. Game time at Hermann Stadium is 7 p.m.
