LAWRENCE, Kan. – Saint Louis posted a number of positive results at this weekend's Kansas Relays, hosted by the University of Kansas at Rock Chalk Park in Lawrence.
Libby Williams posted a big PR in the hammer throw, reaching 50.24 meters for the second-best mark in program history.
Journey Amundson won the triple jump (12.77 meters) and placed second in the long jump (5.86 meters).
Emery Mayfield won the 5,000 meters with a time of 17:42.11 in windy conditions. Jillian Jackson (57.69) and Zora Williams (58.26) turned in PRs in the 400 meters.
On the men's side, Manny Vela finished second in the windy 5,000 meters with a time of 14:41.61. Chase Pitre PR'd in the 400 meters (48.28), while Brock Waugh finished the 1,500 meters in a time of 3:47.60, third all-time in school history.Â
Jayden Kouadio placed second in the triple jump, posting a distance of 14.94 meters.
The Billikens have their final regular-season meets of the season next weekend, competing in the Drake Relays and Kip Janvrin Open in Iowa. The Atlantic 10 Conference Championships are set for the following week in Fairfax, Virginia.
