ORLANDO, Fla. – Saint Louis men's tennis advanced to the Atlantic 10 Conference Championship quarterfinals with a convincing 4-1 first-round victory over Duquesne Wednesday afternoon at the USTA National Campus.
 
The No. 9 seed Billikens will take on top-seeded Dayton Thursday at 3:30 p.m. Central.
 
Andres Castellanos and Valentin Vasquez defeated Alfrendo Vogelaar and Keita Duclos 6-2 at No. 1 doubles, but No. 8 seed Duquesne won at Nos. 2 and 3 to take a 1-0 lead.
 
It was all Saint Louis from there, however, as the Billikens claimed four straight-sets singles wins.
 
Riki Koshimizu posted the most impressive victory, routing Duclos 6-1, 6-1 at No. 3. Castellanos downed Vogelaar 6-0, 6-4 at No. 1, Vasquez ousted Enrique Lana 6-3, 6-4 at No. 5, and Sebastian Munoz was a 6-4, 6-2 winner over Teo Papadopoulos at No. 6.
