Eight from Swimming & Diving Land on Academic All-District List

ST. LOUIS – Eight Saint Louis University swimming and diving student-athletes, four women and four men, earned 2024-25 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District recognition.
 
Juniors Kenna Cashman, Brae Sanchez and Logan Townsend collected the honor for a second time. Joining that trio are senior Elizabeth Voss, junior Zach Byars and sophomores Meghan Eng, Ben Mears and Karis Reynaga.
 
Cashman is a nursing major with a 3.989 GPA. She swam a school-record 1:03.68 in the 100 breast prelims at the 2025 Atlantic 10 Championships and went on to place 14th, and she was a member of the Billikens' 200 medley relay team that swam a school-record 1:42.88 at the conference meet. She also competed in the 400 medley and 400 free relays. Cashman ranks among SLU's all-time top 12 in the 200 breast and 200 IM.
 
Sanchez is an exercise science major with a 3.971 GPA. At the 2025 A-10 Championships, he placed fifth in the 100 breast after swimming a school-record 53.77 in the prelims. In addition, he swam on SLU's school-record-setting 200 medley relay team (1:27.94) at the A-10 meet and competed in the 400 medley relay. Sanchez finished seventh in the 100 breast "B" final at the U.S. Open Championships and was the A-10 Performer of the Week for Oct. 21-27. He ranks among SLU's all-time top eight in the 200 breast.
 
Townsend is an accounting major with a 3.917 GPA. He scored in two individual events at the 2025 A-10 Championships, finishing fifth in the 200 free and 14th in the 100 free, and competed in the 200 free, 400 free, 800 free and 400 medley relays. Townsend ranks among SLU's all-time top 10 in the 100 free, 200 free and 500 free.
 
Voss is a magnetic resonance imaging major with a 4.00 GPA. She competed in the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events at the 2025 A-10 Championships. Voss concluded her career with 10 dual-meet victories, and she ranks 10th in 1-meter diving on SLU's all-time list.
 
Byars is a double major in finance and business technology management with a 3.885 GPA. He placed 12th in the 200 back and 16th in the 100 back and was a member of SLU's 400 medley relay team at the 2025 A-10 Championships. Byars ranks among SLU's all-time top 12 in the 100 back and 200 back.
 
Eng is an education major with a 3.843 GPA. At the 2025 A-10 Championships, she finished 14th in the 200 back, swam on the Billikens' school-record-setting (1:42.88) 200 medley relay team and competed in the 400 medley and 800 free relays. Eng was the A-10 Performer of the Week for Oct. 21-27, and she ranks among SLU's all-time top 10 in the 100 back and 200 back.
 
Mears is an exercise science major with a 3.932 GPA. He placed 12th in 3-meter diving and 14th in 1-meter diving at the 2025 A-10 Championships, and he qualified for the NCAA Zone D Diving Championships on the 1-meter board. Mears ranks among Saint Louis' all-time top 10 in both events.
 
Reynaga is a magnetic resonance imaging major with a 3.889 GPA. She swam three individual events (100 free, 200 free and 500 free) and was a member of three relay teams (200 free, 800 free, 400 medley) at the 2025 A-10 Championships. Reynaga ranks among the Billikens' all-time top 16 in the 50 free, 200 free and 500 free.
