Amundson Nominated for NCAA Woman of the Year

ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis University's Journey Amundson is the Billikens' representative for the 2025 NCAA Woman of the Year Award. She is one of 13 outstanding female student-athletes nominated by Atlantic 10 Conference institutions.

The league's Senior Woman Administrators will vote on the nominees to select two student-athletes who will be named A-10 Women of the Year and represent the league as 2025 NCAA Woman of the Year conference finalists.

The nominees are recognized for exceptional athletic prowess, leadership skills, academic success, and service to the respective communities. Each candidate has noteworthy credentials, earning All-Conference awards, participation in postseason competition and academic honors, both from the A-10 and on a national scale.

One of the most prestigious NCAA awards, the Woman of the Year Award was established in 1991 to celebrate the achievements of women in intercollegiate athletics. The 2025 NCAA Woman of the Year winner will be announced this fall.

Amundson graduated in May with a Master of Public Health, was named to the CSC Academic All-District team and was voted Academic All-Conference during the indoor campaign.

A two-time A-10 triple jump champion, Amundson concludes her Billiken career as the school-record holder in the indoor and outdoor triple jump, as well as the indoor long jump. Additionally, she twice qualified for the NCAA Championships.
