ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis University men's and women's swimming and diving head coach Mary Woods has resigned her position to become an assistant coach for the University of Kansas women's swimming and diving team.
 
Woods began her tenure at SLU as a graduate assistant during the 2020-21 and 2021-22 seasons and was named assistant coach prior to the 2022-23 campaign. She assumed the title of interim head coach in October 2022 and was named SLU's permanent head coach in June 2023.
 
"We thank Mary for five outstanding years serving our swimming and diving student-athletes," Director of Athletics Chris May said. "She guided our program through a tough time and showed our young women and men exceptional care. We wish her the best in her professional progression."
 
"It was a tough decision to leave Saint Louis University," Woods said. "I coached and worked with many wonderful people and loved my time here, and I appreciate the opportunity it gave me to grow as a coach."
