WASHINGTON – Saint Louis is a heavy favorite to win the 2025 Atlantic 10 Conference women's soccer title in preseason balloting by A-10 head coaches, the league office announced Wednesday.
The Billikens, who are seeking a seventh A-10 regular-season crown in eight seasons, received 11 of 14 first-place votes and totaled 192 of a possible 196 points.
The 11-member preseason All-Conference team includes five Billikens – sophomore forward
Hope Kim, graduate midfielder/forward
Hannah Larson, senior defender
Izzy Luebbert, junior defender
Eva Schreiber and redshirt-senior forward/midfielder
Julia Simon.
Dayton, which garnered two first-place nods and tallied 173 points, finished second in the voting.
Fordham (149 points) was third, followed by Loyola Chicago (145), Saint Joseph's (140), Rhode Island (111), La Salle (106), VCU (97, one first-place vote), Davidson (91), Duquesne (79), George Mason (64), Richmond (59), George Washington (50) and St. Bonaventure (14).
Saint Louis, which received votes in the United Soccer Coaches preseason national poll, opens the season Thursday, Aug. 14, at Kansas City. Game time is 7 p.m.
