•Following hard-fought one-goal games in 2023 and 2024, the Saint Louis Billikens (#23 United Soccer Coaches) and Penn State Nittany Lions (#14 United Soccer Coaches, #10 Top Drawer Soccer) meet for a third consecutive season Thursday, Aug. 21. Game time at Penn State's Jeffrey Field is 7 p.m. Central.

•SLU won 4-0 at Kansas City in its season opener, while Penn State fell 3-2 at then-No. 4 Duke in its 2025 debut.
•Penn State leads the series 2-0. The Nittany Lions prevailed 4-3 in an epic overtime battle in the 2023 NCAA Tournament "Sweet 16" at Jeffrey Field. Last year at SLU's Hermann Stadium, Penn State edged the Billikens 2-1.
•In addition to its national ranking, Saint Louis is rated No. 1 in the East Region by United Soccer Coaches.

Izzy Luebbert garnered Top Drawer Soccer Team of the Week honorable mention for her performance vs. Kansas City. Luebbert recorded career highs of three assists and three points.
•Luebbert was one of eight Billikens to register at least one point in the season opener.
Lucie Schwartz tallied a goal and an assist for a career-high three points;
Emily Fox,
Rylee Howard and
Audrey Smith netted a goal apiece; and
Hope Kim,
Addison Stanciak and
Adee Broesder picked up an assist each.
