•The Saint Louis Billikens (5-2) aim for a third consecutive victory when they wrap up their 2025 non-conference schedule Sunday, Sept. 14, against Illinois State (3-4-2) of the Missouri Valley Conference. Kickoff at Robert R. Hermann Stadium is 1 p.m.

•Saint Louis was idle on Thursday after winning 3-0 at SIUE last Sunday. Illinois State is coming off a 0-0 draw vs. Eastern Illinois Thursday night, giving the Redbirds a 3-1-2 record in their last six games after beginning the season 0-3. ISU yielded just two goals in those six games.
•The Billikens and Redbirds are meeting for the first time since 2021, when Saint Louis claimed a 2-0 victory in Normal, Ill. SLU owns a 4-2-1 series lead and has won the last three match-ups, outscoring Illinois State 6-1.
•SLU has won all three games played in St. Louis; however, only two of the three (2005, 2017) were played at Hermann Stadium. The teams squared off at Lou Fusz Athletic Training Center on Feb. 20, 2021, as the 2020 season was played during the spring semester.
•Saint Louis and Illinois State have no common non-conference opponents, but the Redbirds hosted Atlantic 10 Conference member Loyola Chicago Sept. 7 and fell 1-0.
•SLU is 38-10-8 vs. Missouri Valley Conference opponents.
•The Billikens are 82-9-11 (.858) in their last 102 games at Hermann Stadium. In those 102 games, SLU outscored opponents 233-40, posted 65 shutouts and allowed more than one goal just three times.
•Saint Louis leads the A-10 and ranks eighth in the nation in corner kicks per game (7.71). The Billikens are second in the league and 38th nationally in assists per game (2.29).
•Through seven games, Saint Louis has displayed remarkable offensive balance. Eight different Billikens have scored at least one goal, led by
Audrey Smith's three and two apiece from
Rylee Howard and
Hope Kim. Twelve different Billikens have recorded at least one point, led by Smith and Kim with six apiece.

Caroline Chier are tied for the team assists lead with three each.

Emma Parker is tied for 29th nationally with three shutouts.

Eva Schreiber was selected the A-10 Defensive Player of the Week for Sept. 1-7.
•Among Illinois State's returning players from last year's 6-10-4 team is sophomore midfielder Eiley Henderson, a 2024 MVC All-Freshman selection.
•Freshman forward Rylann Law (four goals) is the Redbirds' top offensive threat.
•Redshirt-sophomore goalkeeper Madi Valenti has a 1.18 goals against average and a .792 save percentage.
