Series History Saint Louis leads 14-1-1

The seventh-ranked Saint Louis Billikens head to Pittsburgh to face the undefeated Duquesne Dukes Saturday night at Rooney Field. Game time is 6 p.m. (CT).

It is the Atlantic 10 Conference opener for the Bills. Duquesne began A-10 play last Saturday with a 3-1 home win over St. Bonaventure.

The Billikens (3-1-3) are ranked in all major men's soccer polls and are No. 7 in the latest United Soccer Coaches poll. They are coming off a 1-1 draw against Missouri State on Tuesday. SLU's lone loss was to No. 4 Indiana.

The Dukes (5-0-2) are the only team remaining in the A-10 without a loss. Duquesne has outscored its opponents 14-3 on the season and have posted five shutouts.

Saturday's game will streamed on ESPN+.

Here are five additional facts in advance of Saturday's match vs. Duquesne:

1 // This is the Billikens' 21st season competing in the Atlantic 10 for men's soccer. SLU is 111-34-21 in A-10 regular-season games. The Billikens own four A-10 Tournament titles and seven A-10 regular-season crowns.

2 // The Billikens' five goals have come from five different goal scorers. Andrew Heckenlaible leads the team with three points (1G, 1A).

3 // Saint Louis and Duquesne lead the A-10 in defense, as both squads have yielded just three goals on the year. 

4 // Jeremi Abonnel ranks fifth in NCAA Division I in career goals against average (0.84). Additionally, he is tied for 10th among active Division I keepers with 17 career shutouts.

5 // Saint Louis leads the all-time series 14-1-1. The last three games were all played in St. Louis. Duquesne won the last matchup in Pittsburgh on March 20, 2021, when games were played in the spring semester due to the pandemic.

The Billikens head to Akron to face the 10th-ranked Zips on Tuesday, Sept. 23. That game has been picked up on ESPNU and will kick-off at 6 p.m. (CT).
